Just had to replace my battery after 5 years and half years. It failed the load test, dropping under 10 volts straight away ( after charging it all day yesterday). I did some searching on line and prices ranged from $370 to $160. I ended up buying a new Supercharge Gold MF66H with 750CCA and 40 months warranty.

Anyone is Sydney I would recommend Online Batteries. Matthew is the owner operator and works from home in Panania. He was a true gentleman, was happy to fit it, load test the old battery, check the alternator and has excellent prices ($178.50).

I think the recent cold snap did the trick....

The battery in the Jetta died today. The original lasted 7 years, the replacement OEM VW labeled Varta manufactured $290 replacement lasted 2 years 1 month 11 days. 16/01/2013 to today.
I'm not impressed at all. I'm now putting in the cheapest crap one I can find with a 2 year warranty.
