You will need to check the part number on your current ECU to see if they are the same. I think it may be possible to use different part numbers but you would likely need to make some changes to other systems. Others may know more.
There is a good chance it will run, but there are a few minor hardware differences (ie. secondary air injection, etc.) that could result in poor idling, error codes, etc.
Also, your immobilizer will no longer work so there may be insurance implications with running an american ECU.
