  • Suspension Refresh on my R32

Lately the banging and crashing of my suspension in my R32 has been getting a bit louder and I have a feeling it is getting a bit tired. It has only travelled 78,000km but imagine that life is pretty hard for any suspension dealing with 18inch rims. The strut top mounts are on their way out too but not completely dead yet.

I am not overly keen to modify my car as such. Been there and done that before. I am not completely against it if it is the best solution though.

    What options would you recommend?

    an ECS suspension refresh kit?
finding euro spec OEM suspension components for it?
    fitting KW coilovers?

    Any other ideas?

Coilovers and the refresh. Mind you the refresh will eliminate almost all the banging and crashing. Just bite the bullet and modify it, you know you want to

      Hey mate.

I can supply you with a refresh kit and KW suspension. I am an official Australian KW Dealer.

I wouldn't recommend the ECS refresh kit, as it's the Chinese stuff.. But that's completely your choice.

If you're interested, email (signature) or PM me.

I have installed the ECS refresh to my Bora, as have many others who bought in a previous GB and I dont recall seeing too many Made in China tags certainly india and a few other exotics, but all parts were oe suppliers such a sachs, merle etc.

I highly recommend the refresh kit if youre getting all the creaks and wallows from the front. And while youre at it, you may as well get a set of KWs off Chris, it'll save you installation time, effort or $$

Forgive my ignorance. I should know as I once fitted a full suspension system to my Jeep Wrangler but that was 1970 equivalent tech so a bit behind the 8-ball here. If i fit KW's will this cover some of the areas that a refresh kit would refresh?

If i go ahead with this I'll hassle you Chris. Cheers

Your going to find it very hard finding all German suspension refresh components. The ECS refresh kit sources from many places, India China, Hungary. Sometimes the same part can come from different countries pending on whats available at the time.

I keep the refresh kits in stock, as well as other bushes which should be changed which arent in the kit.

What kinda price are these refresh kits going for ?
Just what do they contain ?

I'm still running OG suspension at the moment but am planning a change to something like KWV3's.

So if going to be pulling stuff apart might look at replacing other bits while it's semi stripped down.

              Matt.

The refresh kits INA do (which I sell) are roughly $400.00, plus freight.

If Courtney (Euro Revolution) has them in stock, get a kit from her. They're already in Australia. No wait time.

Let me know if you are after KW Suspension.

The ECS Refresh kits are largely OEM manufactured parts - which means that they're pretty much as original as what came in the car to start with. FWIW, a large amount of the parts are actually made in Hungary, not China.

I speak from experience here, I've had a LOT of these kits pass through my hands...

Oh, I *may* have a spare set of hardened top bushes for the front suspension too. PM me if interested.
