  • Which downpipe to get?

    Hey guys,

Not sure which downpipe to buy. Pref as cheap as possible. But Im after obviously either a 2.5" or 3". I'm Revo Stg 1'ed but will go for the 2 once I get a full exhaust.

I can source Magnaflow gear through a friend real cheap, so I'm considering chucking a 2.5" rear muffler on and getting an exhaust shop to custom bend it all for me (in 2.5"). I don't want a huge note, just something thats decent on idle and traffic, but opens up under the foot .

    Your stories/experience puhlease!

Peak RPM will do Stage 2, but he said, turbo back exhaust, and a 4 bar FPR to be safe.

Not much required really. Its another 100 odd bucks to get the tune upgraded too.

Has anyone had any luck with the 2.5" LHD pipes? Apparently its just the O2 sensor that hits?

Been looking at Revo website.looks like with 4 bar fuel we get about 10 extra horses and torque with the extra torque coming in at lower revs and the extra 10 horses coming in at about 600rpm,s higher than with 3 bar fuel. You gunna look at clutch or see how the stock holds out. Also from memory Kev Hall from Revo said we could run a sports cat / decat without stage 2.What does that mean mate.Is the revo stage 2 any different for our particular car with it,s flashable ecu limitations or would we get the same added power with upgraded fuel pump and exhaust with the Stage 1.Emailed Revo to ask as you and I both know he seems to know a fair bit more than some of the dealers.

I have just bought a cheapie 3" downpipe for 140 bucks, haha. I thought if it doesn't fit perfectly surely it wouldn't be too hard to modify. Cheap enough to have a shot and see what happens.

I'd love to hear what happens!. I heard its mainly an issue for lower cars hitting something. I've seen pics of the lambda sensor hitting the chassis with a 3" LHD pipe, but thats nothing some welding can't fix!.
