    Hey guys,

Just got my boost gauge in. Have a Revo Stage 1, but I'm only boosting to about 9psi. Is there any "correct" method to be reading boost levels?

I have the stock DV in, but I have one here ready to swap over (Forge).

I am only running the 91-93 Mode tune from Revo as PeakRPM rushed my job and told me that Performance Mode 1 was 98 octane, when my research and contact with Revo tells me its not.

Any common boost leaks? Although I would think it would still boost higher at first, then taper off if it was leaking.

Hey Cam.Mate I just got Revo flashed at Peak yesterday.02 GTI no mods.Went for Mode 2 but after driving took it back today and changed back to performance mode 1.The 98 Octane flash really seemed to boost our little turbo up around 3k and I was concerned about longevity.Anyways David at Peak was professional and I am happy so far with the results. Can,t find exact boost figures (in psi) for both tunes but I think mode 1 set up is boost 6??Keen to see how yours is going mate.

The REVO 93 Tune is how it marketed in the USA as their 93 fuel is the equivalent to our 98. I would change over to the Forge DV and see how that goes, as the stock DV would be getting on in age now, and may have detiriorated...

Also, being an older car you may have developed one or more boost leaks...

Have you thought of going back to the place that installed the tune and asked their advice on the issue... It's hard to diagnose thes kind of faults online...

The two default settings are as follows:

        Performance 1 91/95(MON+RON)
        Performance 2 93/98(MON+RON)

        Copied straight from Revo site.

Also afaik all 98 pump fuels are measured in RON out here.

I had an iffy dealing with the place I was originally tuned. Wasn't too happy at first. Might have to go back..

Ahh well, it's up to you then... Have you had it scanned so you can at least get a start to work out where to look? I think you will end up chasing your tail until you get that done. 9lb of boost is only a couple over stock... The DV is always a good place to start, but it is just a start...
