Hey guys,

Pick up my first car tomorrow, 2002 black Golf SE with a beige leather, its a bit different...

Anyway i was just wondering if you guys had any tips, tricks, hints whatever on the mk4..? Anything would be appreciated!

Also, was thinking of getting some R32 zolder 18s for it, but I've read they don't fit? is that true?

The zolder wheels wont fit your car as they are 5x112 stud pattern and your stud pattern is 5x100.

You may be able to get a set of replica zolders in your pattern but i would stick with a nice set of OEM vw or audi rims.

What size rims do you want to fit to it and what's your budget?

This may help a few members suggest some wheels for you, ebay is also a great place to pick up the occasional bargain set of OEM rims and tires.

Well the zolders were 18s, so what is the maximum size i can fit? while still having a comfy ride?

18s are the preference though. but then again, its my first vw/car so i'm up to all suggestions...

so overall, wheel size i'm thinking 18s till someone else persuades me otherwise, and budget i'm thinking max $2000 on wheels..

if you search through the for sale section of the forum you may find some wheels that may interest you, otherwise like i said jump on ebay and see whats around. I'll keep an eye out whilst i'm on ebay next.

With a budget of $2000 you should pick up a pretty mint set of rims with tyres.
