Strange noise from engine when starting my car.

Thats how it goes.

There is a write up the Tex on how to pull it apart grease and reinstall. All this does is shut it up for a week or 3 then it comes back. I've also had my starter reconditioned and it still does it.

Sorry I can't help there. Maybe try VW dealer spare parts see if the part number is the same. Or ask a VW mechanic.
