  • Vw Fuses????

Hey Guys and Girls, Just joined the site and was wondering if anyone could help me out.
I have a 01 Bora and have blown the fuse for the thermo fans! Does anyone know where to buy these from ? Its located in the battery box never seen these type before Thanks

The flat fuses in the box on the battery, that bolt in, are called Strip Fuses.
I can tell you that replacing that fuse will probably not fix your problem ! The fuse blew for a reason, unless you have fixed the thing that blew the fuse it will blow again.
The fan could be stuffed, or you have a short on the line.

What you will more than likely find is that the low speed resistor has gone open circuit, which means that the high speed is running for longer periods of time, which consequently blows the fuse. It is a common problem with the fans. There is a good tutorial here

Thanks very much for the replys!!!
Yep sort of figured id lost the fans , Think it may be the relay module as they are not even switching on with the air con.
Strip fuses thanks , That helped with the search thats awesome
