headlight switch for 2001 golf gl

Golf GL 2001 park light (left hand side) not working - auto electrician diagnosed as faulty headlight switch. New VW part, quoted $210 yikes!
Looking for a cheaper solution to this issue, perhaps a wrecked part - any takers?

Yeah try a wreckers
Or have a look on eBay.
Also some sites sell original vw parts cheaper. If your in Victoria try volkspower(in burwood) they tend to sell parts a decent amount cheaper than volkswagen.
