Where to get spare parts for oettinger bodykit?

I own a 2002 VW Bora V6 4-motion sport.

It had the front bumper damaged and its been repaired through insurance but they cannot get replacement front bar inserts.

The Bora "Sport" model had different lower front bar inserts with a mesh type grille. these apparently are no longer available through VW or the Oettinger supplier in QLD.

Does anybody know of anywhere in Aus or overseas which could get these parts? According to Oettinger supplier in QLD they only made 40 of these bodykits and they can no longer get them.

I can use the standard V6 inserts but i want the correct ones as it would look odd.

had a look at both their websites and they dont have what i need. anyone else have any ideas?

just had a look on there and there are tonnes of lower grill bits but only the standard ones, nothing like the Oettinger ones. I think they were an Aus only model by the looks of things.

Have you tried the Oettinger international website? Seems like you already spoke to Guy/HP in QLD...

i have managed to get part numbers for them through a google search so i am going to try vw again on monday, the oettinger website does not list them. i am going to try contacting oettinger international if i have no luck tomorrow.

not the main grille, need the lower mesh grilles in the bumper.

i've had a good look at these and it looks like they were hand made and they were specifically made for this market, the mesh was just screwed into the back of the plastic so if you cant find them you should be able to make your own
you should be able to carefully cut out the inserts of the standard ones and go to supercheap auto etc and get some mesh, you'll probably need to repsray it matt black and fab your own

were both of the originals smashed? maybe you can repair them or at least get one to use as a template

i would think you'd be wasting your time with vw, i once got pissed off with them when I wanted to buy a set of replacement "sport" floor mats when the car was still in warranty and they told me the law only enforces them to make spare parts for 7 years for mechanical parts, so if its not fundamental for making the car run then they dont have to provide the part,

i am hoping VW can do a stock search to see if any dealers are showing the parts in stock as i now have the part numbers for them.

If that fails i will have to get the standard front grilles.

Stupid how you cant get parts after a few years. I work at BMW and you can get parts for 1980's models still.

sorry yeh i realised that after i posted but thought the link might be useful anyway for the oettinger website.

i've got SCA mesh in my R-copy bumper...looks nice in silver as a contrast to the oem black inserts
