Okay, well yesterday I went out and bought some Textar pads since my current rear pads are pretty much gone on my MK4 Golf 1.8.
Me and a mate, took apart the wheel etc. Unbolted the caliper, and took the old pads out.
Then came the point where the piston had to be pushed back in, to make room for the new pads. We didn't have the special tool, so we used a pair of needle nose pliers and some pressure to push them in. The piston would turn clockwise but it didn't go in, not even a millimeter

So we turned it anti-clockwise, to see if it even turns outward, in which it did, but then when we tried to turn it clockwise again to push it back in, it would go back to its original state, but from there on, it refuses to go inside.
But NOW... that piston is leaking brake fluid, it seems to be coming from around the rubber seal surrounding the piston

So... we left that as it was, and gave the other piston ago (passenger rear brakes), and SAME BLOODY SH#T. Except that one isn't leaking fluid.
Now everytime I try to press the brake pedal, it goes all the way in and there is absolutely no braking power - can't stop at all.
I was thinking of getting a tow, and have it moved to a brakes garage, but if I can sus out what to do from here with the help of you guys, I could probably just do it at home and save the extra labour cost.. and tow cost.
Sigh. Thanks in advance.
