  • ECS rear wiper delete.

    Hey all,

I got a rear wiper delete plug for the MK4 off ECS the other day, but can't quite figure out what the appropriate installation is for it. As it's a "glass" styled one and is supposed to sit flush, I'm assuming it needs to be siliconed in as it kind of just loosely sits on the existing hole from the wiper.

Has anyone else used one? Or heard of how they're supposed to go in?

    Is it this one?

By the looks of it, the black plastic part goes on the outside and the glass on the inside and glued together? Thats all i can think. It didn't come with instructions or anything? Might want to ask vwvortex

    Edit:
    These might help

      Yes that's the one.

That's what i'd assume, but when the black plastic/glass plug is flush with the window, the clear plastic backing plate is still a mm or 2 away from the glass....

      i'll ask vortex!

I used a black plastic one from home depot for 1.99 and I silconed the back a little bit and it was a nice and tight fit.
