  • Some ECS goodies for the MK4...

So I've had my MK4 GLE for a while now, and it's actually clocked up 192,000km's!

A full service is due in the coming weeks, but was wondering, what other things should I touch up on given its age?

I've noticed some clutch slipage, so I've looked at ECS Tuning's 14lbs Stage 1 Clutch Kit.

My brakes are basically 'gone', so new rotors and pads from ECS Tuning aswell.

On top of that, I've looked at a Stage 2 Suspension Refresh Kit.

Note that the brake package is also intended for some eye candy. (Currently the car wears black paint with 18' RS4's)

Am I going in the right direction with all these upgrades? Anything others would reccomend?

ALSO: How much would the average mechanic charge to install these items, sperately?

    Cheers.

Those are nice brakes, i have the same pads and they are really nice. You'll hate the brake dust tho
Brakes and the suspension refresh are pretty easy and i wouldn't pay anyone to do, but the clutch is complicated (the gearbox needs to come out) and i think its minimum of 4 hours work. So times that by $100/h average and thare's your answer

Thanks dude, was wondering, if there was a tutorial out there of how to install the suspension kit? Checking Vortex as I speak..

Just got quoted $1,200 to replace the clutch (not including flywheel). Anyone done it themselves?
