  • Changing front fog light bulb on 2001 Bora - how?

    hey guys,

I've searched here and google for instructions on how to change the bulbs on the integrated front foglights on my Bora, but can't find anything. I bought some bulbs from Powerbulbs and changed the headlight bulbs easily but I've no idea how to do the fogs.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks!

its very similar to the headlights. metal wire holding the globe in.
Ill try and find a picture of the rear after work to give you a better idea of what your doing.
EDIT: not mine but you get the idea:

so you want the one with the blue wire, you can see the two metal wires holding the globe down. depending on the year of your bora will make a difference to if they go 'in' or 'out'

ah great, thanks mate. So i guess i just take off the black cover and it should be ok. the blue wire on the h3 bulb, where does that get plugged into? I guess I'll see it once I take the cover off.

theres a little spade connection from memery. its all pretty simple though.
Back covers on the fogs seem to break easy, be gentle.. Otherwise you end up with a truck load of tape like me

Which bulbs did you choose for the foglights? I have changed my main globes to Philips Xtreme's but still have stock foggies.

yep, just at the top. Press on that, top slides off (piviting from the bottom) then one that is clear of the top tab you can lift vertically and it will slide out of a cutout down the bottom.
X2 on what foggies you went, im thinkin ill go some super yellow ones soon

I got the Philips Xtreme Power for headlights - significantly more light than stock! I need to wetsand and polish my headlights since they are a bit cloudy. For the foggies I just went with the Philips Blue Vision - they're just more for looks than anything.

One other thing - with the small parkers, do they twist out, or just pull out? I wasn't too sure and I didn't want to force anything.

oops should have been more specific. I'm sure they go pull straight out of their housing/socket, but does the housing twist or pull out? lol

i'll try wiggling it around haha
