  • In Sydney and need a throttle body alingment

Hi, I just cleaned out my throttle body on a Mk4 1.6l. It Idles a little high (1150) with occasional searching. If anybody out there has vagcom and can help me out that would be awesome. thanks.

did it idle high before or after you cleaned it?
If i'm not mistaken, they align themselves after a while anyway? maybe 30 min battery disconnect to reset the ecu does will do it? (prob not, i'm sure someone here will know)

I've had a throttle body in my car unalligned for about 3 months.
though saying that, i've got a cable just for this weekend so will perform an alignment on it myself.
I'd offer to do it if you dropped by tomorrow but it's not my cable plus i don't really know what i'm doing!

Use the cable Paul if you want. Check out the Ross Tech site for the instructions.
