In the process of changing the interior lights to LED in my car yesterday I blew the interior light fuse, not a problem, so the interior lights didn't work until I bought a new 10A fuse. However this also triggered the drivers door open warning alarm (that keeps repeating at intervals) and, even more strange, the electric windows no longer worked! Thought they had their own fuse??
So this got me thinking as I have seen other posts related to seeming unrelated electrical connections, what are the known issues?
1. Blown interior light fuse stops electric windows working and causes drivers door open alarm to chime
2. Water in the rear wiper assembly on a Golf can cause the front wipers to randomly operate!
3. Bad connection on the indicator stalk can cause the indicator relay to click but the indicators don't actually flash!
Any more we know about? Could be useful to document them as a form of troublshooting apparent random events.
