  • Bora sputtering under load

It all started with a missed idle then I noticed a flat spot when accelerating. Now it is getting worse when the engine is under load. Sometimes it clears up then come back when I slow down from highway speeds.
Does any one have any suggestions as to the problem - coil packs?

Sounds like a coil pack is on the way out. A scan will let you know for sure.

I replaced all of mine for good measure, they were only $25 or $30 from ECS....I have a couple of the old ones spare in the boot just in case

I did the same thing. I had to replace the faulty one straight away so I paid full VW price of AU$120 for it and then replaced the rest from GAP at US$25 a piece.

Funny thing though, before it failed I had ordered 6 coil packs from ECS for "just in case" and now I will have to replace all of them LOL and keep the old ones as spares

If you need one to tide you over until your ECS order arrives, I've still got my old ones.
