  • Quick question?

    Hi Guys,

I was just wondering if a VW GOLF MK6 GTI 17" Denver wheels would fit on a VW GOLF MK4 GTI. Im not good at all on the technicalities of wheel fitment, so was hoping to get some help.

This is what information I could find on the Denver wheels:

    Wheel diameter (in.): 17
    Wheel width (in.): 7.5
    Wheel offset (mm): 51
    Wheel lug pattern (mm): 5x112
    Wheel centerbore (mm): 57.1
    Stock tire size: 225-45/17

Your help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

No they won't fit, the lug pattern is wrong, the MKIV needs a 5 x 100 lug pattern.

The offsets probably aren't ideal either - I believe the Mk5 runs higher offsets than the Mk4 for a given wheel width.
      Nothing to see here...

Mickey has a set of TT option wheels on his Mk3 thanks to 5x100 > 5:112 adapters, so its possible.

this is the best way to go about it, offset is good for adapters, plenty of play, and 5x100-5x112 are common so easy to find.
Keep in mind, they are not legal in this case...

Thanks for your input guys, helped me out heaps.

Guess I might just save up a bit more and buy me some 18" Detroit replicas, unless of course they don't fit either lol, doesn't give much information on the Tempe website on the wheels.
