  • All my gear arrived from ECS.
Umbrella arrived in good nick as well lol.
Gotta get round and put it all in, clean the K&N pod etc.

Booked a holiday to Fiji yesterday, so when I come back will hopefully start playing with this thing again. As long as nothing else goes wrong with it for a while.

      • Bled the clutch today and driving seems a bit better but still wants to "permanently engage" in 1st or reverse intermittently. Take off and between shifts seemed a little smoother which is a positive.

        • H&R springs arrived from Justin on tuesday.
Rears are in, fronts are 50% done. Just waiting on spring compressors (if I was fatter I could push the hub down more and pop the spring out the top, but im not so I need to compress the spring) so all should be done around 6 o clock.

          • Fronts were a lot more difficult but overall not too bad. Ended up pulling the struts out completely. Meant to lower an inch all round, I believe that in the back, the fronts seem like a hell of a lot more though.

Reason for the springs was to isolate a knocking problem, seems I still have it but it sounds quieter, so may have to do with the front spring hardware (mount, bearing and perch plate). Will look at changing these later.

Car feels a lot more composed, will get wheel alignment tomorrow and thats one task out of the way

As soon as I get a few decent pics together I will put up a thread. I have a new job and been traveling quite a bit, this will be my first full week at home.

                        Wheel alignment.

Get exhaust leak on freeway in stupid F3 traffic with knobs heading north. Blew the **** out of the gasket from header to downpipe.

Going shopping tomorrow for a new gasket and then put it back together. Luckily the Milltek has the downpipes in 2 sections, standard is 1 piece so you have to drop the subframe to get the whole section out.

                        • So bit of "sad" news.

I've had a few situation changes and am starting to get really keen to buy a house. I have a good savings plan with my current job and a deposit looked after for me, but I want to be spending far less money than I currently do on a car and focus it on other areas (more savings, holidays etc).

Ill see the year out with it and everything will be sorted, but early in the new year this car will be for sale.

I still have access to the Mk3 and Mk5 so not ditching the dubs altogether, but for now I have taken on some other priorities and wll come back and play cars again soon enough
