Looks great! Just needs to be lowered a bit, stock tail lights and add a cupra lip and it will look a treat.
Project Hairdresser car DIY build has begun...
'96 Mirage Track car: BC RM Coilovers, 294mm Galant VR4 Brakes, 5 stud conversion, 16x8 Forged Rays MS01S, UR 23mm sway bar, UR Strut Braces, Evo 5 Recaros, MR Lancer electrics interior conversion, Engine + Exhaust in the works
Good work Mal, looks great, how nice are they inside?!! I loved those seats, the smell, the A/C, the steering wheel and gear change.. such a nice car to drive.
Did you get a receipt from the purchase? The RTA will tax you on its value, cost me a fair bit to get mine on the road as a i had to replace 4 tyres on it too.

Thanks Matt
The only faults with the car really are the tails, the condition of 2 of the wheels and a bit of presentation to bring it back up to standard. I'm working on it but god damn it makes me smile big!!
It has 4 fairly new KU31s on it, so happy on that front also, did get a receipt for purchase price. Should have it blueslipped this friday, then blue and white euros. Then enjoy happy motoring for a while
Thanks Matt

If you havent done so, the Flapper mod should be 1st which would make you
Thanks Tom, had to get one first before thinking about things.
At the moment the plan is just to enjoy it for a while. Will concentrate on trying to get things back up to mint specs (presentation wise) before actually "modding". Definitely need OEM tails!
My modding plans are pretty basic, includes a set of wheels (can't decide between 2), coils, I can get a Milltek for pretty good money and maybe some cams + re-tune with GIAC. But that's a fair way away and I'm just happy.
Know about the flapper mod, will get onto it at some point
Congrats Mal! Car looks great. Any plans for the car?
Perhaps leave the superior number plates on?
As above Alex pretty standard for a while. Can get a Milly for it if I want, have to resist for a while though.
For those interested, It costs me 2.2k a year with 45% no claim (and knowing I lost my licence) with the NRMA. Stamp duty was 810 bucks. Plus greenslip, rego and numberplates. Numberplates were 200 initially, and 90 annualy thereafter. I got "MN 32 VW". Will have photos up with the new plates next week probably
