  • possible vacuum leak?

Hi Fellas, been a bit worried about my car, its a mk4 gti, stage 1 with full exhaust and k&n induction kit. over the past couple of days the vacuum reading on the boost gauge has been getting higher and higher, usually it would sit on -20 on idle but right now its sitting on -15 and even coasting in gear it wont go below that. (where as normally it'd head down to - 22-23.
in saying all this idle is smooth and boost is stong as ever. can you have a vacuum leak and not a boost leak? i thought they where primarily the same system?
    Help?

Odd... Where is the gauge tapped? From a connection on the manifold?

Could be the throttle body needs to be reset or I'd gunked up.

actually on closer inspection one of the vacuum hoses from the fuel pressure regulator down into the manifold had a slight crack. all fixed now! thanks anyway
