I know this topic has been covered before, but i haven't really found the direct answer i'm after;
As i'm sure any VW/R32 owner is aware, the MK4s have the apparent understeer due to the majority of engine weight being quite foward from the suspension towers etc etc, now to combat this a thicker rear swaybar is needed. Now, I was going to go and get a 24mm rear swaybar as a friend of mine in the US uses and reccomends highly, but out of a couple threads of this forum I hear "get kits or it will throw out the cars balance" etc etc.
I was wondering how much of this is actually true? I mean, it only makes sense to use a thicker rear swaybar to reduce the understeer, wouldn't beefing up the front one as well just leave me in the same position?
I'd very much appreciate some educated responses to potentially save me buying a front bar as well as rear....
