Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Fitting fog lights into mk4 gti

    hey ppl,

was looking into buying some foglights for my 04 golf gti from ebay like this one:

is this hard to install myself? if someone out there can give me a few pointers and their 2 cents worth that would be great!!

Someone else here fitted them to their Mk4 and the general consensus was it was easy. If you have a troll through the forum you should find the thread - I'm sure it was fairly recent. Their feedback was that it fittend with little modification and they worked well. You'll notice that the RHS is vented because it does go over the front of the intercooler. If you've done any mods you may want to be carefull as it will restrict the air that gets to it. I cant remember who fitted it - maybe one of the more experienced here will be able to tell u more...
