Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • FK high sport/Gruvenparts.

    Hey all;

    I'm just asking for opinions on FK High Sport coilovers for my MK4 R32, they seem to be a very affordable option for me. I'm not a track warrior, what I want out of these is to be able to give my car a good stance, but have the increased performance over the stock R32 suspension. Are these coilovers reccomended? or will I be dissapointed?

    Second; does anyone in Brisbane want some Gruvenpart adjustable rear control arms for their car? I'm going to order a set, and you can save some $$ if you order 2 (or more), so if you're interested, pm me!

    If you don't want the adjustable height of coilovers (or the rebound adjustability) and rather just want something low and relatively sporting, I'd suggest saving your money and getting a good set of shocks and springs (well matched good shocks and springs will cost roughly the same as an average set of coilovers, and will likely ride better). There was a set suitable for the R32 for sale a while ago, they may still be available.
