  • Had the Bora on the Dyno today

Firstly this is a hub dyno so not 100% comparable to anyone who's run theirs on a roller, though I have found it very similar in the past

First run in 4wd, you can see how jerky the curve is as the haldex kicks in and out

I then pulled the fuse so we could get more accurate figures in 2wd mode
Torque - You can see how early it makes peak torque, great for daily driving

Air/fuels - Nice and smooth, could run a little leaner for more power, but for a mostly factory tune its good. Gotta love wideband controlled ECU's

And a quick comparo to the old car (2L VVL SR20VE) - almost the same power but a lot more torque

Cams are going in next week and will have another run, should hopefully crack 200whp

    Wow definately interesting.
Didn't realise it was that dead under 2800rpm, looks worse then it feels.

thats just when the dyno operator got the foot down, its hard to get meaningful readings down that low

It also doesn't help that these car are drive-by-wire, and so the ECU determines how quickly the car develops power, there's no direct physical relationship between the accelerator pedal and the throttle opening.
        Nothing to see here...

yeah, it looks like the DBW throttle also pre-empts the rev limit and drops power at 6000rpm too

187hp, that's 140kw, and the motor is 150kw from the factory right?
So with ~20% drivetrain losses for front wheel drive, stock should be around 120kw atw.
where do you reckon you got most of your power gains?

yeah 150kw standard at the fly, so its a pretty good result.
Dont think any one part has stood out, intake, exhaust and the superchips flash all probably helped, but I have no proof as I bought the car with all the power mods already done.

Will be interested to see if I get the claimed 20-25hp gain the cams are supposed to be worth.
After that Im going to look for another reflash, I want an increased rev limit

TT cams are about 1/2 the price of a comparable set from schrick, and should drop in with no extra work
