is there a way we can get our headlights on our Mk4's to turn off when the idnition is turned off or even when we lock the car like the interior lights?

Yes, VW have conveniently fitted a switch to the right of the steering wheel and up from the ignition. If you turn this counter-clockwise (to the left) as far as you can without forcing it the lights will turn off.
Sorry couldn't resist. I didn't come across anything useful that will do this. Graeme86 might know if it's possible.
    Cheers,

Am I right in guessing the halos are hooked up to the parker wiring?
            Nothing to see here...

the whole point of parkers is so that they can stay on with the keys out of the ignition.
so if you don't want them to stay on, without trying to repeat what trezza said... well yeah, what he said!

yeh thats the one but i expected them to be as they are the parkers but its more so at night get out the car dont have to worry about turning them off then getting back in the car and turning them on again. (I'm lazy)
