no, they're a different stud pattern. mk 5's are 5x112. mk 4's are 5x100

If you really want them then you can get 5/100 -> 5/112 addaptors made up but they are a bit pricey and are not legal to use.

The rims off a Polo GTI would fit, they're a similar style, but they're smaller and wouldn't look as impressive (in my opinion).

Trent whats the diameter of em & do you know if they make VW centres to fit?

Yes that's the ones. They're 17" rims. Normally a 225 wide tyre is on them but a 215 or a 235 can also be legally fitted.
In regards to the centre caps you can't get VW ones in the same style as far as I'm aware but what I would've done is leave them off and then find VW centre caps that fit (I think a stock 58mm cap will fit) and leave the bolts exposed or with caps on them as is the norm on most of the VW rims. Combined with a nice black or metallic shadow chrome paint job/powder coat they would look awesome.
