Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Yeah, the Bora's not as bad as the Golf, but the brace still makes a definite difference.

Not off the top of my head, no. Will try work it out/find the details. It was worth bringing two in, the shipping per unit is substantially cheaper that way.

I may be able to offer something soon to help locals out.

Ok, i've been given the price which is US$420.00 shipped, for 1 item. So if someone else is interested, i could probably get another 1 shipped with this package to keep it below $1000 and avoid GST, would probably save us a bit on shipping.

Also, does anyone have the heavy duty nutsert installer they'd be willing to lendout to me for a weekend?

I have that tool, shouldn't be hard to get it to you in Brissie.

MMMMMM!!! Find out! Might not be able to save much on 2 interms of the actual product, but maybe able to cut down on shipping cost?

            Let me know Drew

i don't think you will find you can get a better pricing from buying two
read this page Group Buy: MKIV/MKV UNIbrace

i plan to get this eventually, and fortunately i have pneumatic rivnut guns at work. should make it a breeze
Only issue will be where to relocate the amps on the rear seats...

That's correct - need to buy many more than 2 to get a better supply price per unit, but 2-3 can be shipped together, which reduces the per-unit shipping considerably.

according to that thread, there is no saving if you buy 2 instead of one. and if you buy 3, it will take the total to over $1000 so will attract gst and duty

Being that they're wholly made in the US, my understanding is that duty should not fall due. GST though, most likely yes.
