Hey guys, for a while now ive been getting a wierd noise from the foot well on the passenger side. Its like a poping noise, almost like the noise an old hard drive would make that was scanning. Any light on what this might be would be great
If it's a 'click click click' noise and it stops when you put the air on recycled, it's the A/C flapper motor failing to reset the flapper to the position it wants. Common issue.
yep I have the same issue as well as a bunch of guys here. This is what you need, I think this is quite cheap for the actual part.....labour to fit may be a bit exxy as its in a tough location
Before you rip out the dash.....clear any faults and perform a "Basic Settings" on the HVAC unit with VAGCOM and that should reset the flap and hopefully cure the noise.
