They have a great reputation - they were more than I wanted to pay when I got my Bilstein PSS9s, otherwise I'd probably have gone that way.

Just make sure they're in good condition. It may be worthwhile having the Australian distributor (East Coast Suspensions) give them a once-over before fitting.

I have the Var1's and they're very good
Current: '04 Astra SRI Turbo - EDS IPF Flash, 3" TBE, Quaife LSD
Previously: Bora 4mo, cams, coilovers, tune, exhaust, brembo's etc

The V1s have adjustable height only.

V2s have adjustable height and rebound.

V3s have adjustable height, rebound and compression.

So V3s give the most tunability (with the most complexity).

unless you are planning on tracking the car, they are quite probably overkill.

However, if you are getting a bargain, then go for it!!
