  • So she finally died... again

Ugh, My bora carcked it agian last night after having a couple weeks of trouble and 4 other break downs this was it so back to the dealer to see what else they can replace. Last time found out the battery had carcked it with 26% state of health left so brought a new battery and on the way home last night boom happened again.

It starts with leaving uni and the traction control and stability control lights coming on but shortly going away after. 20mins later just before a big hill traction control stability control and airbag lights come on and dont go away but nothing else noticable wrong. Then just about to go up the hill at 80km/h Boom all power cuts out engine off and it cuts to a holt. Try to start it agian and nothing no click nothing at all. Everything seems to be fine on it but i dunno. Anyone had this problem before? Just feeling annoyed about loosing her again.

Check the fuse box on top of the battery. Have a close look at the line coming in from the alternator (far left as you look at it).

If the bolts are not tight you get arcing and the whole thing gets too hot the wire burns out and the plastic burns. Then the car runs on battery power only, until it goes flat.
The lights coming on are a sign of low power, I had those exact symptoms.

    Look what happened to mine
