C2 wont be doing any tuning for Aus spec cars for a little so a C2 kit is unavailable for now. Then you have the whole rhd/lhd issue.Kinetic have a RHD kit and Unitronic can do the tuning.Cost is around $10k.
N/A there arent many options either.Giac have a cams chip as does Unitronic and C2.I think Revo has one as well but few people use it.MK3 VR6 there is almost no choice but to go stand alone on earlier cars.Giac is really the only chip option on any VR6,autotech does ecu's as well but AFAIK no-one has one fitted to an Australian car

I'd be looking towards something like the Haltech platinum interceptor for piggy back tuning.
Allows you to tune fuel + ignition, whilst leaving factory ECU to handle the rest of the stuff.
Supports the audi/vw 1.8t (which must run a similar sort of ECU), and priced around $1k.

I'm considering this option if I end up doing cams + headwork, provided it allows lifting of the rev limit.

Jay is running a C2 chip/piggy back, I'm not 100% sure, but he loves the guys. says they're really helpful etc. Obviously the tune he was sent initially wasn't perfect for australian conditions, and realistacally, and chip/tune that you buy from OS isn't going to be suited, so no matter what I think you're going to have to get it tuned here, regardless of brand, or piggy back/chip/standalone.

Basically nothing a Wideband O2 sensor, some datalogging, some dyno time and a few emails can't fix!

False most R32 turbo kits are custom or pieced together. There are not many people that want to spend the money on an HPA kit. But there are a few that have. There are many other kits out there C2,streetwerk,VF,Kinetics,Cts,Nls.

Tuning is not a problem for C2 or Uni. A few things in the software change for your fuel here mine runs a 98octain.

And this worries me with interfacing with tall the std electronics like the dash, haldex etc.
Maybe have to look at piggybacking the std ecu, with the standalone doing fuel and ignition only.
A standlone would be a waste of money for the price you would pay for a flash from C2 or unitronic it just requires you to send your Ecu to them .. I run my factory ecu with C2 stage 2.5 turbo software tailored to my hardware setup and the only things that i requested to be written out of the software was the SAI,Cats. Everthing works as normal with a few more HP

There is no tuning required guys for a C2 turbo flash or a Uni flash its already all been figured out for you. If you would like to fiddle with timing, fuel, watermeth use lemmingwinks or vagcom

i wouldnt trust a mail order tune on a turbo kit on my car, its either going to be unsafe, or not make as much power as it should

I am running the C2 2.5 turbo software and it was tuned for the fuel(98 ) here in OZ. Its a flash not a piggyback or a chip just to clear that up. Also the 1st ecu that I bought when I recieved it, the socket was not soldered correctly hence forth why the car would not start. During this time frame my power goal changed from 400AWHP to 500AWHP so i bought another Ecu and sent 3 different ecu's to Jeff @ C2. The uni ecu socket/chip module was removed and tested and works fine but will need to be soldered in a ECU here in Oz and I already have spoken to a person/shop that will solder it in and test since its the same as what APR uses and the Immobizer has been removed so it will work in any R32 ecu. The only thing that Jeff needs to know is what fuel you plan to run here in Oz so no dyno/tuning required.

Must be some confusion on C2 TURBO KITS/products for Oz,
Just to clarify seb/courtney wants OBD1/2 software…..ain’t going to happen.
We are already doing both LHD/RHD DP, so hardware is NOT an issue.
We are already doing R32 ECUs, so that is not an issue either.
The “guy” that you are referring to wants MK3 software………that is what I had answered regarding application.
