I found a set of Porsche wheels that I want to put on my mk4 r32 the front wheels are 235/40/19 and rears are 265/40/19
will these fit on the car without poking out too far
and where is the best place to buy adaptors from 5x130 to 5x100

ECS tuning sell the H&R wheel adapters to go from 5x100>5x130. The other place is Adaptec Speedware who will make eveything 'to suit' for you.

What oyu really need is the width and offset of the wheels and use an offset calculator to work out the poke. A 235 could be 35/40/45 profile and be used for a 7.5 to a 10 inch wide rim, so tyre sizes aren't really a guiide.

What are your current wheel specs? also how is your current wheel set up sitting inside the wheel arch?
If the golf is the same as the bora you should be right with a 15mm adapter. itll be close to the arch, you may want to run some stretch tyres though.
If you decide to go a odd size (16mm, 17mm etc) that isn't in stock id advise to go Adaptec as well.
