  • Mk4 Gti power confusion!!

Ok, I was under the impression the whole Mk4 range received around 110kw.
More recently, im finding articles for the later models (02 onward) are quoted at 180hp (134kw)
Redbook says 110kw (150hp) for all models upto the 2L, but they have been known to make mistakes.
Can anybody else confirm this for me?

(Im also hearing that the 134kw have more tuning potential aswell)
Im just wondering if this only applies to the US, but at the same time I cant see why this upgrade wouldn't be global.

The gti was only released as a 150hp / 110kw model in Australia. The 180hp was only released in foreign markets like US and UK. Im pretty sure we had a thread on this about a week or so ago.
