  • 150hp vs 180hp

Hey guys, I have tried searching but I can't find a straight answer anywhere.
Basically I am looking at GTIs, and I am aware that the 1.8t come in AWD, AWP, and AW something chassis. I am after either the 180hp version, or the 150hp version with the same turbo (a reflash would be in order).

My question is: what ways are there of telling the 1.8t models apart? I believe the 180hp is post-2002 only? Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

To follow up on Golf_Loon's post, the only AWD Mk4 cars we got here were the R32 (only 200 sold) and the Bora V6 4Motion.
      Nothing to see here...

Ok thanks for clearing that up. The only info I could find was from US forums so that explains my ignorance.

Did we get the 'good' 150hp version here (with VVT I believe)?

So AWD refers to the drivetrain? Not a chassis code?

No, we got the AGU, which had the K03 and no VVT.

AUQ and AUM (I think) got VVT. But we didn't get those here.

So basically, 0-100 is >7.5 secs.

Chassis code for the Mk4 is 1J I believe.

Tis all good, I've learned some stuff in this thread too!

Yep, they were not a quick car in stock form.

How about with a reflash? I want to like them, but they are so slow!
