Nice one mate, interesting that you've gone from a Mk5 to a Mk4 too.

finally found some wheels lying around at my uncles house so i decided
to put them on for the time being until i find a nice set, they are
only 17" and are really have compared to the 18" that were on the car
          when i bought it

Re: My New Addition to the family

That doesn't look half bad but yeah 18" would fill that gap so much better.

OK i have had a busy week, sorted some stuff out and added some stuff to the car
So i fixed the wheel issue temporarily while waiting for a set of oz superturismos

              Installed some Led number-plate lights

and bought some for the front headlights but haven't found the time to install them yet as you need to take the bumper off a bit

Also playing around with the front grill a bit need peoples opinions

              Complete stereo makeover
Running Comp JL splits in the front and back
Kicker sub all powered of a jl 4 channel amp
and a pioneer touchscreen head unit (really happy with so far)

And changed the center console to the one with cup-holders as the ones on the dash are useless now if i need to use the head unit

              And finally Tint

              Heaps more to come soon

Looks great Geralis - especially the dark tint against the silver.

Are you blacking the front grill area around the VW badge? I can't really tell if it's just weird lighting with the pics?

I really like the grill that colour against the silver ( but I'm a fan of the two tone look of the standard silver golf with black rub strips ) - it's good to see someone trying something different on an R32.

                    Cheers.

Just wondering where you got your centre console from Geralis - was it locally or an ECS jobby as mine needs a refurb ...

                      Cheers.

ECS they had it on special not to long ago, it may still be cost me 87Aus in total to get it here with the missing parts

what was wrong with the old one? peeling?

one day i WILL do this: The Stripethree grille mod revisited.

antennae would look nicer coded, or all black...

where did you get the number plate globes from? I bought a pair from ebay, lasted 5 mths and one blew. the retailer replaced it, and then the other one started to go dim. i think they were crappy. ~$28 for the pair or something

He said he opted for the cup holder version as the standard cup holders are now useless with the double din stereo.
Stripethree grille mod looks sweet but I'd probably paint colour around the badge

My GTI is black but my wife's poverty pack is silver. The same silver as Geralis' car, so in that case I was saying that I'd probably paint the badge surround silver.

I thought your car was blue, like your avatar?
