hey nick
yeah i got the kit. been driving around for almost two months now.
i reckon the kit is worth it. i got a 16.5lbs (stock dual mass is 26.5lbs) single mass billet steel flywheel and a stage 1 luk clutch kit.
now the car revs quicker and got a bit more poke. you can feel the wave of torque coming in at around 3000rpm and then another one at around 5500rpm.
the clutch is incredibly grippy, and since my release bearing was completely gone before, now the clutch pedal is much lighter. the drivability hasn't changed.
now the drawbacks. it is pretty loud on idle. and there's some vibration when stationary and if you move off the line very very slowly (or parking in reverse). the chatter gets worse with the aircon on. but if your stereo is on (mine's on all the time
) then you can barely hear it.
if you want to find it, just specify vw-jetta mk4-2004-24v vr6, and just scroll down. there's a couple of kits available.
