SE Suburbs Wheel Alignment Places?

Hey Guys

Trying to find a place who is able to carry off some decent alignment work on my MK4 r32. Preferably wanting someone down in the South Eastern suburbs (VIC) but happy to travel a little if need be. Not interested in going down to the other side of town as won't have the time to be able to.

Have just finished installing the coilovers and adjustable rear control arms so will need to fix wheel alignment along with the rear camber. Your thoughts appreciated guys. Thanks in advance

I used in live in Melbourne, Glen Waverley, aren't you from around there? If so you may know a small garage called GSB, off Waverley Rd. The guy George there done some work to my Corrado and recommended Pedders in Furntree Gully as the guy who runs it is very good. I took mine there and they done a top job, explained everything to me with a print out of camber,toe etc, all for around $40 from memory.

That said, the place Peter has posted sounds good too!

I've since moved to Byron Bay on the NSW North Coast mate.

Haha yes i know good old George ! I used to live right next door to his workshop. Anything i couldn't diagnose myself, i used to hand ball over to him and you'd bet he get it sorted out.

I think i might try the Fentree Gully place you mentioned first, as it is closer to me than the place in Kilsyth Peter mentioned. I might also pop down and say hi to George and see if he still recommends the same.

Still probably will wait another week till the suspension all settles in well and then ill book it in for alignment

Good stuff, George is a top bloke, he helped me out no end, we both stayed working on my Corrado till about 10.30pm the night before DOVW!! He's great at what he does, done alot more than we he needed to the car for me.

I've a feeling i saw your R32 around that area before, up near the swimming pool, i lived on Kauri Grove if you know it?

Good luck with the allignment, i was more than happy with how they set mine up, and he'd never seen or heard of a Corrado before.

If you don't mind going to burwood, I can't recommend Volkspower enough. Dean is the main guy up there, they only do VAG vehicles so they really know their stuff, have been around for ages too....

Didn't know they did wheel alignments ? Also, Remeber a 4wheel alighnment is normally double

Matt : I definitely agree with you on George being a top bloke ! One of the best in the business in my opinion. Always goes above and beyond and is the only person willing to stick me in for a VERY last minute RWC at like 10pm haha.

By the swimming pool do you mean the aquatic centre? Quite possibly as i live and work in the area so it may have been. Ahh yea Kauri Grove i know where that is. Not too far from where i used to be.

Cheers mate i'm glad your happy with how they set yours, as it gives me the extra confidence boost. Is the pedders you speak of on Burwood Highway?

Qsilverza: Yes unfortunately for us 4motion drivers it could well be double, but i also need to get the rear camber adjusted so not sure how much it will all add up to. Haven't had a chance to call up but will probably tomorrow so i can book it in for Monday

I've never actually had an alignment done there so I can't be 100% sure, but he does supply and I suppose fit aftermarket suspension, plus build race cars on the premises so one would think they would...... We do here at work when we fit our suspension to anything that somes in....

Guess a phone call is all it takes to find out

As much as the guys in Pedders FTG looked after my previous cars, forget them if you want your Golf properly aligned. Been there, done that.

anyways he's done lots of jobs for my car/s and family, has lots of experience and offten does track/rally cars.

otherwise there is advantage suspension in Moorabbin, the guys name is Nathan, has a ultra low aligner so there is no worries if you have your car super low, bit pricey but will have you R32 Golf driving nice again. ph:95552633
