  • Indicator Overtaking 3-flash function

Just wondering if any clever-dix out there have worked out a way of making the indicators on a Mk 4 flash more than once when just tapping the indicator stalk. I know a lot of Euro's are doing this now (at least my mates Focus does) and I think this is a Overtaking / Passing feature.

I am assuming it will be a VAGtacho trick, and I would love to know if it is possible.

    very good idea mate.

My missus always reckons i don't hold the indicator on long enough for people to see it flash...

Wicked. Pulling apart my dash will give me time to see if it's possible to install the LEDs on the air vents easily too.
          Cheers,

why LEDs on the air vents?

think this would be a tough DIY? dash work is always fiddly, plus the added risk of breaking those silly plastic tabs that hold everything in place is frustrating enough to disuade me from doing it (no, i'm not lazy )

i might wait till i can get a Mk4 AVC unit and amp/speakers and do a full install. make it worthwhile.

maybe steal Goodfella's R32 wheel while i'm at it

The European R32 and Bora vents have LEDs on the open and closed indications. However on the Australian ones and half of the US delivered ones there is no LEDs or the looms readily available to insert the (the clips are still on the vents). Half the US delivered ones did have the looms just with no bulbs installed weirdly enough.
                Anyway back on topic.

                  I installed one of these:

                  http://www.zusatzinstrumente.de/htm/b3/prod.htm

It is programmable from 3 - 5 blinks.

                  4 is just nice.
