My MFD did an odd thing today

When I started the car it just lit every pixel. I just had a big red square staring back at me.

Turned the engine off and re-started the car and it came good.

mine does that... but the opposite, turn the car on and nothing, turn it off and on again and its fine... done it a few times now

Nice. Mine occassionally doesn't light up at all!!
I just switch off and start the car again, and it goes back to normal.

My partner's goes all funny in the heat. Like, it is quite dull, and the pixels flicker.

Mine does similar things. If i leave the car out in the sun the top of the display looks faded/not lit up. And sometimes i get the big red square. It hasnt showed the square in a while but it started not lighting up everything. Its weird!!

had it turn off about 6 months ago while driving. Turned off/on, all memory was reset but worked fine since

Yep mine goes dull across the top of the screen if i've been parked outside and it's pretty hot, like 35+ (in the sun) everyday like the last week or two! Haven't had a big solid block though, yet ...
