  • CAI Suggestions for MK4 GTI?

    All

What are your suggestions for the best value for money CAI for the MK4 Golf GTI? I've got a revo tune and wanting a bit more power and induction sound.

I dont want to spend $500 for a brand name unless they are really worth it

    Cheers

I have an AEM cold air intake kit with dry filter, purchased brand new off an ebay seller in America, cost about $350 delivered.

The sound it makes is the first thing you'll notice. It's loud The car breathes heaps better now, and it feels alot less restricted. Throttle response is improved and seems to come on boost a bit quicker for some reason.
I havent got one yet, but it feels like it also needs an exhaust to get the most out of it.

I had a Liberty B4 once upon a time and that car was getting 20kw from the intake and another 20kw from the full exhaust. This is well worth it on every turbo car. They are usually very restricted, especially intake coz of all the noises they make. I knew a girl who was afraid of a blow-off valve. I think getting an intake is well worth it. I have a K&N Typhoon intake kit, I paid $895NZ for it, It worked well made a big difference after my remap.

New owner did not want to pay for the intake when I sold my car near the begining of last year. So if interested you can have it for $250NZ plus shipping.
