wierd noise when aircon is on

i get this weird noise when my aircon is on but only at a certain rev range and its jus horrible and sounds nasty it this normal, anyone else had this?

Hard one to answer that mate without seeing and hearing, could be the compressor , however when he compressor clutch is engaged you then introduce load to the other items driven by the belt, alternator and tensioner.
I could have a listen when im out and about mate

have you changed to a single mass flywheel? mine makes a tapping sound at idle with the air con on because of this.

Jmac that would be great if im out when you are and McDub all stock as far as im aware oh and sud b getting a service soon so get them to have a look also a look at to why my car uses excessive amounts of oil
