Brake Pads

Trying to track down some Bendex rear pads for my 2003 Golf 2.0 with little success, called a few shops today and they had problems finding rear pads in their catalogues, also great differences in prices given "how much should I be paying"?

Would anyone know if they're available and what the part number would be?

Also which pads would people recommend Standard, Heavy Duty or Ultimate?? or any other brands worth looking at as well?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Rear Brake pads for that car should be easy mate. They are the same as almost every other recent VW.

I carry some in stock if you get stuck.

Thanks mate if I get stuck I will take you up on your offer, turns out that Bendex do not make rear pads for my Golf so looks like another brand or genuine VW

I'd go for Textar. VW uses them on their cars

We've got a stack of options on pads for the back of your car.

My recommendation would be QFM HPX, which is basically a Bendix Ultimate in terms of performance, but very low dust and rotor wear. $79 for the complete rear axle set.

The other option I would recommend would be a European brand called Remsa. Very similar to TRW Lucas, so a high performance pad, but can be a little bit dusty. The Remsa is $75 for the axle set.

There are a heap of other options, including cheaper (like RDA) or race pads (like QFM A1RM), but those above two would be our recommendation for a road car, leaning towards the HPX.
