    Hey guys, Pretty much i want to pick up coilover kit around xmas time. I have no idea on what to look for. All im asking is some ideas and maybe some places i can call that would help me out. I want to slam this bad boy, coils must be fully adjustable.

      ust getting back into here. i want to get into the vdub local scene, I'm sick of drooling over the vortex cars

          I want to spend anywhere from $900 - $1600
          obviously the cheaper the better since im a student and quite often struggle for money

          i called Pedders and asked them about there Extreme XA coilovers. they look decent but i was quoted $1956.40 which was fitted with wheel alignment. 2k is a tad outa my range

            You can buy Hotunning coilovers from evorobin on this forum, they are very cheap (think $850?)! I just got Ta Technix for my bora which are the same as hotunning.

            Your probably going to need a new front sway bar also if that hasnt already been done

              ahh k i see. that sounds perfect man. just a couple more questions, is the ride confortable at all? how much drop do you get out of the hotunning? and a ruff estimate on a new sway bar? :S

                Price for Hottuning is currently $800 thanks to a strong dollar. Drop is from 20-120mm. The ride is firmer than std but still very acceptable.

                  or fork out a little more and get weitecs from Robin if he still sells them

                      I can vouch for the HotTuning quality. Been running them for well over a year now and been faultless. As stated, stiffer than standard but still compfortable for everday driving

                        Its firmer, but for how low you are don't think you'd complain considering they were under $1k.
                        Drops is as evorobin said.
                        Im ordering a whiteline sway bar tonight hopefully, ~$300 including postage, some have got it cheaper though.
