  • A8 replicas - Fitting issues ?

Lets get this straight Yes I know that A8s on MK4 Golf has been done to death.
But I love them and in Brisbane I've never see them.

So big question from everyone in the know. Are there any problems fitting ?

The car is riding 30mm lower on Eibach Pro springs.
    I'm looking at 18x8
What offset (ET) do I need to ensure proper fitment ?

I have an opportunity to turn a bad situation into a good one as my latest crash involves replacing 1 wheel ($710). I'm looking to invest that money toward a new set.

I have those wheels in 18x8 with coil overs and have no problems what so ever,
the only thing that is holding me back from going lower is my drive way

Im over them and could be tempted to sell them for a very low price if someone offered to buy them from me ........

I have them in 18x8 with a ET45, if i had the choice now id go with 32 or 35 to make them stick out abit more, no real problems so far, only issue being i cant wind down my front coilovers past the tyre, but your probably going to have that with most wheels other then skinny wheels anyways. and i cracked one of the centre caps the other day, there from tempe and are sooo tight.
          Good luck!

ET45? I have maybe 5mm inner clearance with ET32's. There's no way ET45 would fit my car.

So I'm finding that stock wheels are 6.5 ET 42, which would mean 8.0 ET 32 would sit balanced 19mm poke each side of centre.

yep apparently, that's what it says on the inside of the rims anyways.
they fit stock suspension, but not my coilovers, they rub as soon as the steering is turned
