      unfortunately the bill for a new engine and fitting was the same price as another R.... $27,000+, last i heard it was auctioned and sold for $10,500. never thought it would go that way, but i guess these things happen...

      as for number 1, ill get photos up as soon as i have more than only 5mins to myself!

            a puddle? yes indeed. a large puddle? it wasnt a lake or anything, just a stormdrain that had overflowed-- the car infront went through it the same speed i did, it kept going while mine decided not to live anymore

            either way i dont drive through even tiny puddles anymore, its got me so paranoid it not funny!

            but were going off topic here....

              bought august last year with 60,000km's

              now just dropped it off at my mechanic for its 80,000km service, only feels like yesterday when i was driving it for the first time from the previous owner

                my vr is lucky, i dont drive it even if it starts to overcast let alone raining

                    Bought at 65kms in April, now at 86kms. Do almost all of my ks on the freeway at 110km/h so not to worried about it. Just love driving it

                      I top you all !!!!!!!!.........#57...193,500km , idles sweet, nice burble, no rattles, cruises good on freeway with less than 9L/100 consumption, even better burble under full throttle and changing gear at 7000rpm!....sweet...K's mean nothing!!.......................................VW ..........................................
