  • Bora 4mo Rotors and Pads

I am investigating new brake/pad options for my Bora 4mo so I'm asking what others have used apart from OEM..I have decided on DBA slotted rotors but still undecided on the pads.

    Key factors I am considering:

    a. DUST levels - I am so over the amount of dust the OEM pads produce. I understand that the EBC pads are good for this.
    b. No plans for tracking ..yet, mostly city / cr@ppy peakhour driving..but nevertheless "spirited" where possible.
    c. Not wanting to remortgage my house for the sake of a best of breed solution that I wont need.
    d. maintain wear indicator connection.

Options I have considered include Ferodo 2500, EBC , QFM

Dave, I am going to get some pads from GSL in Brissy. Hopefully next week and I'll update you on the performance when I have them in. I got new std discs and lightly used one off the A3.

I went for Mintex pads because i was sick of the brake dust. That was a big mistake. The car does not brake like it did with OEM Textar pads. I'll be going back to that.

As said many times in previous posts EBC redstuff on the front and green on the back works quite well with very limited dust though I would probably go the to the yellows if I could do it again.

Ferodo 2500s are a pretty aggressive pad - a bit noisy, a bit dusty, aimed at people who track the car occasionally or drive hard, need a bit of warming up before they're at their best

The Ferodo 2000s are potentially more suited for street use - they work better from cold, are quieter, less dusty, etc...
          Nothing to see here...

How about those pads that are sold on this forum by someone? I forget the brand but they get rave reviews.

I think you mean QFM.. yeah I was going to wait for GSL to finish his WRC commitments before hassling him..cheers
