Vent liner fitment is nearly perfect- just two holes are slightly out of alignment - the actual shape of the liner is the same.
On R32, just need to put in two extra holes to align with the existing holes in front bumper extension piece (which is not on stock bumper)
We also removed the raised seam on the back of the leading edge of the new liner so the undertray sits flush against the back face of the liner, but that would be optional to do.
There is also one extra hole where the side skirt mounts at the rear.

Sounds good Graeme. How long did it take you to fit it? Also did you fit it on the hoist or just jacking the car up?
Cheers,
Trent
Edit: Any chance of picking mine up on the weekend?
quozl and I took some photos during install on his R32.
Because of the extra flare of the lower front bumper on the R32 there are two holes at the bottom that don't quite line up so you just make new ones.
If you want the R32 undertray to sit against the back of the liner nicely you just need to cut off a molded ridge that runs across the very bottom of the vented liner, so that the back of the liner is dead flat.
The undertray could also be pushed up about 1/4" there and it would sit flat above that ridge anyway....very minor issue.
The R32 undertray has three bolts at the back that fasten to the liner - don't know if GTi have these, so you may have to drill three holes for them as well.
Other than that every other hole lines up perfectly and the vented liner is the exact same shape as the original.
The R32 also has one extra bolt at the back holding on the side skirt and the torx screw just taps its own thread in the new liner- just like the original guard liner has.
This is the liner inside a standard Golf - as you can see all the holes should line up pretty well:
I still have one spare for any local benders.

The Australian R32 has an extra radiator mounted under the right hand guard, so has the same airflow issues as an intercooler mounted in the same spot.
I don't think the Bora V6 4-Motion has that extra radiator - so no benefit for the Bora boys...
However, if you had a supercharger fitted , the air intake pod filter would be in that area so might give it some extra air.
