  • ARB/ Sway bars for lowered mk4

Since owning my mk4 I have fitted coilovers and despite only being 30mm lower in the front, it seems that on hard lock my RHS drive shaft rubs on the ARB. I have fitted mondeo drop links, as I heard it would fix the problem.

However the issue has only been reduced and still occurs at times and sounds horrible. I'm wondering what other mk4 drivers have done to resolve this issue.

I'm currently considering a whiteline adjustable or fixed front sway bar as it mounts under the drive shaft, which should fix all the issues I have.

Has anyone got this sway bar fitted to their mk4? Or a similar ARB?

    Cheers for any help.

change sway bar to a kw one and no issue now ...

your supposed to change asb when you lower it a substancial amount..

Cheers for the fast response. At the moment I still have the stock ARB and believe only way I'm going to avoid the rubbing and be able to stay at my current ride height is to change ARB.

How much is a KW ARB worth?

Did you swap yours at home or is a job for a shop?

      Thanks

If you havent done one i would suggest getting someone to do it for you as its not easiest thing in the world to do but at the same time not that hard

KW one, beats me to be honest.. Bought it that long ago!

You can get any brand, they're all the same sheet basically!

You will definitely need it though, it'll keep happening more and more and your driveshaft will rub on it

I sent mine to a shop. Stuff getting my hands dirty lol

KW sway bar is around $450. I don't think they fit anything other than KW coilovers though...

I seriously hate getting under cars. Gotta get into weird positions, putting your hands in dark crevices, have random stuff falling on your face... it's a bit like the porn industry lol
