Have read reviews of them on Audi A4s, BMW 3-series, WRX STi, etc. They all say the same thing - great product, varying settings from stock/sport to rock hard like a go-kart, sensible lowering, easy to work with (adjustable for height and rebound/compression whilst on the car). The A4 review was the longest/most detailed, and I suspect closest to the Bora in terms of vehicle setup/weight. http://forums.audiworld.com/showthread.php?t=2360733

I'm really after a "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" setup that's very streetable for when the family are in the car, but can be made nice and tight for when the car gets on the track (or just when I want to go for a "spirited but legal" drive myself.

From experience with my 4Mo, H&R springs with Bilsteins = Dr Jekyll, and H&R springs with Konis = Mr Hyde...

I was after the same and started with the Bilsteins but it was damned firm. Not crashy, but very firm (or maybe I'm just getting old). Never got to take them on the track though, think they would've been good there.

Switched to the Koni yellows (adjustable rebound) and they're pretty good for the street, but too soft for the track...

Its tough to get the best of both worlds - if you solve that one sign me up for the same!

Hey Manaz,

The coilovers in question were installed into a car and the rear springs or something along those lines were not right. They keep bottoming out and the person has been in contact with Bilstein. If you would like more specific information just send me a PM and I got put you onto who to contact.

PSS9s were selected in the end - they're going into the car today, I should be able to start providing some feedback.

qsilverza - your feedback was taken into strong consideration, I'm led to believe that I shouldn't have the same issues your friend had, and I should have support should that occur. Will see how things go anyway!

I have Euro R32 suspension in my Bora 4motion. It is a direct swap. I did it myself in my garage. The spring rate for the rear springs is slightly different as the Bora has more weight past the rear axle, so the swap is not 100% ideal. The slightly lower spring rate in the rear makes the Bora tend toward understeer, but with an upgraded rear sway bar you can dial this out.

So to answer your question, R32 to Bora 4motion is a direct swap but I would recommened an uprated RSB at the same time.

The Aussie R32 rear springs are much firmer than the Euro R32 rear springs. Maybe you could try them instead.

Interesting! I thought the US-spec ones were softer - was it the damper valving that was softer in that case?
